Citizens insures a minority of homes; private carriers price differently, and a specific home's premium depends on roof age, construction, wind mitigation and flood zone. Use these figures to compare counties, not to budget a specific house.

Why are Citizens premiums shown instead of a market average?
Citizens is the only Florida insurer that publishes average premiums by county and policy form every year. Private carriers do not. The figures are a consistent yardstick across counties, not a quote.
Does this include flood insurance?
No. Flood coverage is separate (NFIP or private) and depends on the flood zone of the specific address.
How often is this updated?
Citizens approves rates yearly; policy counts monthly. This page shows the report months in the table.
