Yes. Golden Oak is a Disney-developed residential community at Disney World, where you can own a home. It's a gated community, and homes there are sold with whole ownership.
What's available at Golden Oak?
Golden Oak's site lists neighborhoods including Carolwood, Kimball Trace, Marceline, Silverbrook, Symphony Grove and The Cottages at Symphony Grove, along with Four Seasons Private Residences.
The site says single-family homes in existing neighborhoods are sold out, with limited resale opportunities.
What does it cost?
Golden Oak's site says Four Seasons Private Residences start above $5 million. Listings change, so check the current available homes for real numbers.
What else comes with ownership?
Golden Oak's site says owners must join the Golden Oak Club. At Four Seasons Private Residences, it says purchasers also pay separately for resort amenity access.
Before you buy any home in a community like this, read the recorded documents and ask for every recurring fee in writing.
Is it the only way to live close?
No. Plenty of homes for sale sit in the towns around Disney World, at a wide range of prices. Compare towns by distance and price.
Who sells Golden Oak homes?
I'm not affiliated with Disney or Golden Oak, and details here come from Golden Oak's own site. If you're comparing it with homes nearby, call me and I'll help you weigh the numbers.
